2014 Was a Break Through Year for SkyMobi Publishing

The mobile games market in China exploded in 2014, and SkyMobi Publishing was perfectly positioned to grow dramatically during this time - in team force, developer outreach, and publishing portfolio.

SkyMobi recruited perhaps the most passionate team in Chinese mobile game publishing including David Wei, Head of International Business Development; William Heathershaw, Head of International Marketing; and Gio Zhang, VP of Publishing. In addition to these three guys whose faces you’ll see at conferences worldwide, we have a few dozen designers, developers, marketing, and operations team members in China facilitating the entire publishing process.

SkyMobi Publishing launched a major developer outreach offense and sponsored or attended more than 15 conferences in 9 countries including GDC (USA), GMIC (China), PocketGamer Connects (Finland), Casual Connect (USA), Gamescon (Germany), GDC Europe (Germany), Live Mobile! (Lithuania), DevGamm (Belarus), Casual Connect Eastern Europe (Serbia), SLUSH (Finland), Berlin Games Forum (Germany), GDC Next (USA), G-Star (Korea), GMIC (USA) Mobile Game Forum (USA), Game Connection (France).

In addition to meeting developers at these great events, we hosted the first annual SkyMobi Partners and Friends Trip to China. We had a blast hosting ShinyBox (USA), Rocket Jump (Australia), Cosi Productions (USA), Two Men and a Dog (Finland), and Bitcake Studio (Brazil). Check out the photos!

The extensive international outreach did not get unnoticed by international media and conference organizers alike, making SkyMobi arguably the most publicly available Chinese games publisher today.

None of this would have been possible without the early support and trust we’ve received from some of the best mobile game developers in the world. These developers have trusted us to expand the international reach of their game in one of the world’s largest, but toughest to crack markets, China. So, here’s a special shoutout to ShinyBox, Cosi Productions, Vector Unit, Game Insight, and Rocket Jump

We’re looking forward to meet you again in various spots around the world. On our schedule next: Pocket Gamer Connects London, Casual Connect Europe, Game Connection America, GDC USA!
